Question 1

Was $10,900 a good price for this 2020 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

161 comparable 2020 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $15,550, spanning $6,600 to $22,000. At $10,900 this one went 30% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $39,306. It sold for $10,900 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 BMW M3 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - GLASSBORO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Who sold this 2020 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2020 BMW M3 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with water/flood damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
