Question 1

What do side 2020 BMW M3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2020 BMW M3 with side damage, the median was $17,500, from $11,300 to $22,500. That is 13% above the $15,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $22,800 a good price for this 2020 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

161 comparable 2020 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $15,550, spanning $6,600 to $22,000. At $22,800 this one went 47% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $37,972. It sold for $22,800 — 40% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 BMW M3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this BMW M3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - JACKSONVILLE NORTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 54,684 miles high for a 2020 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 60,717 miles across 161 sales, so at 54,684 miles this one sits 10% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
