Question 1

What do front end 2017 BMW M3 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 49 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW M3 with front end damage, the median was $16,100, from $9,300 to $22,000. That is 5% above the $15,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $15,300 a good price for this 2017 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

98 comparable 2017 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $15,400, spanning $8,125 to $23,600. At $15,300 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW M3 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW M3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this BMW M3 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - HILLSBOROUGH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 63,388 miles high for a 2017 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 61,721 miles across 98 sales, so at 63,388 miles this one sits 3% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
