Question 1

Was $32,225 a good price for this 2016 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

120 comparable 2016 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $15,150, spanning $8,200 to $22,800. At $32,225 this one went 113% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW M3. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 36,905 miles high for a 2016 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW M3 listings at auction averaged 76,490 miles across 120 sales, so at 36,905 miles this one sits 52% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2016 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Progressive Casualty Insurance. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2016 BMW M3 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WBS8M9C55G5D30759?

Accepted Answer

WBS8M9C55G5D30759 identifies this specific 2016 BMW M3 in white with a 3.0l inline 6-cylinder m engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
