Question 1

Was $6,575 a good price for this 2011 BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

30 comparable 2011 BMW M3 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,150, spanning $5,400 to $14,275. At $6,575 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This BMW M3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M3 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2011 BMW M3's pre-damage retail value at $17,369. It sold for $6,575 — 62% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This BMW M3 has right side and none damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "Stationary" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Stationary is the auction's own condition note for this 2011 BMW M3. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

What does a other (california) mean for this BMW M3?

Accepted Answer

This 2011 BMW M3 was sold on a other (california). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.
