Question 1

What do front end 2016 BMW M2 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 69 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW M2 with front end damage, the median was $5,700, from $3,450 to $8,300. That is 3% above the $5,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,400 a good price for this 2016 BMW M2?

Accepted Answer

143 comparable 2016 BMW M2 listings sold at auction for a median of $5,550, spanning $3,500 to $8,800. At $4,400 this one went 21% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW M2 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW M2's pre-damage retail value at $18,250. It sold for $4,400 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW M2 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - NEW ORLEANS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this BMW M2?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW M2 was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 109,097 miles high for a 2016 BMW M2?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW M2 listings at auction averaged 80,714 miles across 143 sales, so at 109,097 miles this one sits 35% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
