Question 1

This BMW M2 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

How far is this BMW M2 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CO - MEAD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,030 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $675-$975, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

Is 31,781 miles high for a 2016 BMW M2?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW M2 listings at auction averaged 80,232 miles across 141 sales, so at 31,781 miles this one sits 60% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

What can I find out from VIN WBA1M5C56GV769464?

Accepted Answer

WBA1M5C56GV769464 identifies this specific 2016 BMW M2, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2016 BMW M2 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 BMW M2 was listed at IAAI as lot 15134036 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
