Question 1

What do front end 2022 BMW 8ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 60 recorded sales of the 2022 BMW 8ER with front end damage, the median was $25,000, from $13,700 to $34,250. That is 1% above the $24,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $14,800 a good price for this 2022 BMW 8ER?

Accepted Answer

146 comparable 2022 BMW 8ER listings sold at auction for a median of $24,750, spanning $13,600 to $36,300. At $14,800 this one went 40% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 8ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 BMW 8ER's pre-damage retail value at $45,578. It sold for $14,800 — 68% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 8ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IN - FORT WAYNE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 600 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$725, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 BMW 8ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This BMW 8ER has front end and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
