Question 1

Was $14,700 a good price for this 2024 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

183 comparable 2024 BMW 7ER listings sold at auction for a median of $42,125, spanning $24,200 to $55,750. At $14,700 this one went 65% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This BMW 7ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 7ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2024 BMW 7ER's pre-damage retail value at $72,558. It sold for $14,700 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 7ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2024 BMW 7ER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WBA23EH06RCT09420?

Accepted Answer

For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
