Question 1

Was $12,250 a good price for this 2018 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

304 comparable 2018 BMW 7ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,300, spanning $4,600 to $12,900. At $12,250 this one went 48% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW 7ER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 7ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in ID - MEDFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This BMW 7ER has undercarriage and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW 7ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 71,401 miles high for a 2018 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW 7ER listings at auction averaged 82,555 miles across 304 sales, so at 71,401 miles this one sits 14% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
