Question 1

What do front end 2018 BMW 7ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 128 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW 7ER with front end damage, the median was $7,500, from $4,250 to $11,600. That is 9% below the $8,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,575 a good price for this 2018 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

318 comparable 2018 BMW 7ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,200, spanning $4,550 to $12,900. At $5,575 this one went 32% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW 7ER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 7ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - RANCHO CORDOVA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 81,199 miles high for a 2018 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW 7ER listings at auction averaged 83,066 miles across 318 sales, so at 81,199 miles this one sits 2% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW 7ER. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
