Question 1

What do side 2017 BMW 7ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 30 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW 7ER with side damage, the median was $7,450, from $5,500 to $11,100. That is 1% above the $7,375 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,400 a good price for this 2017 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

334 comparable 2017 BMW 7ER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,375, spanning $4,200 to $11,500. At $7,400 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW 7ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 7ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - WEST MIFFLIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 7ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW 7ER's pre-damage retail value at $20,603. It sold for $7,400 — 64% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 89,255 miles high for a 2017 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 7ER listings at auction averaged 87,804 miles across 334 sales, so at 89,255 miles this one sits 2% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
