Question 1

What do side 2016 BMW 7ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 47 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW 7ER with side damage, the median was $6,250, from $3,850 to $10,300. That is 5% below the $6,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,500 a good price for this 2016 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

500 comparable 2016 BMW 7ER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,550, spanning $4,050 to $9,775. At $7,500 this one went 15% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 7ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW 7ER's pre-damage retail value at $19,870. It sold for $7,500 — 62% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW 7ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This BMW 7ER has side and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 75,892 miles high for a 2016 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 7ER listings at auction averaged 96,581 miles across 500 sales, so at 75,892 miles this one sits 21% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
