Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2016 BMW 7ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 42 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW 7ER with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $6,900, from $4,050 to $9,500. That is 6% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,500 a good price for this 2016 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

511 comparable 2016 BMW 7ER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $4,050 to $9,750. At $6,500 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 7ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW 7ER's pre-damage retail value at $13,400. It sold for $6,500 — 51% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 7ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in UT - MAGNA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 130,337 miles high for a 2016 BMW 7ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 7ER listings at auction averaged 97,430 miles across 511 sales, so at 130,337 miles this one sits 34% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW 7ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
