Question 1

Was $7,300 a good price for this 2017 BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

79 comparable 2017 BMW 6ER listings sold at auction for a median of $7,125, spanning $3,900 to $10,600. At $7,300 this one went 2% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW 6ER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 6ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - CONSHOHOCKEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW 6ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 74,841 miles high for a 2017 BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 6ER listings at auction averaged 81,132 miles across 79 sales, so at 74,841 miles this one sits 8% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was LOUISIANA FARM BUREAU. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
