Question 1

What do water/flood 2016 BMW 6ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW 6ER with water/flood damage, the median was $5,850, from $3,650 to $7,900. That is level with the $5,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2016 BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

140 comparable 2016 BMW 6ER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,850, spanning $3,450 to $9,200. At $7,900 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 6ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW 6ER's pre-damage retail value at $27,314. It sold for $7,900 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 6ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NY - MARLBORO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW 6ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 92,559 miles high for a 2016 BMW 6ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 6ER listings at auction averaged 94,939 miles across 140 sales, so at 92,559 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
