Question 1

Was $10,300 a good price for this 2020 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

573 comparable 2020 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $11,000, spanning $6,000 to $16,000. At $10,300 this one went 6% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 5ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 BMW 5ER's pre-damage retail value at $55,000. It sold for $10,300 — 81% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 BMW 5ER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - TANNER. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 72,900 miles high for a 2020 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 68,351 miles across 573 sales, so at 72,900 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 BMW 5ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
