Question 1

What do front end 2020 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 263 recorded sales of the 2020 BMW 5ER with front end damage, the median was $10,950, from $6,000 to $16,075. That is level with the $11,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $11,275 a good price for this 2020 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

576 comparable 2020 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $11,000, spanning $6,000 to $16,000. At $11,275 this one went 3% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW 5ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in PA - MEDFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 71,332 miles high for a 2020 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 68,309 miles across 576 sales, so at 71,332 miles this one sits 4% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 BMW 5ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
