Question 1

What do front end 2019 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 744 recorded sales of the 2019 BMW 5ER with front end damage, the median was $9,100, from $4,975 to $14,200. That is 3% below the $9,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,850 a good price for this 2019 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

1555 comparable 2019 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $9,400, spanning $5,200 to $14,600. At $9,850 this one went 5% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in PA - PITTSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 BMW 5ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 74,630 miles high for a 2019 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 76,883 miles across 1555 sales, so at 74,630 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2019 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
