Question 1

What do undercarriage 2018 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 44 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW 5ER with undercarriage damage, the median was $8,900, from $5,900 to $12,800. That is 6% above the $8,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $13,000 a good price for this 2018 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

1826 comparable 2018 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,400, spanning $5,000 to $13,500. At $13,000 this one went 55% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 5ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 BMW 5ER's pre-damage retail value at $34,749. It sold for $13,000 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW 5ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW 5ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 111,409 miles high for a 2018 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 89,282 miles across 1826 sales, so at 111,409 miles this one sits 25% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
