Question 1

What do all over 2018 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 26 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW 5ER with all over damage, the median was $6,900, from $3,650 to $10,100. That is 18% below the $8,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,650 a good price for this 2018 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

1833 comparable 2018 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,400, spanning $5,000 to $13,500. At $3,650 this one went 57% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW 5ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - WEST CHESTER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a non-repairable mean for this BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW 5ER was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 6

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW 5ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
