Question 1

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2018 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

1847 comparable 2018 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,400, spanning $4,950 to $13,500. At $3,250 this one went 61% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This BMW 5ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 BMW 5ER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - YORK HAVEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN WBAJA7C57JWA71860?

Accepted Answer

WBAJA7C57JWA71860 identifies this specific 2018 BMW 5ER in black with a 2.0l 4 engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2018 BMW 5ER from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 BMW 5ER was listed at COPART as lot 79414955 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
