What do normal wear 2018 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Across 49 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW 5ER with normal wear damage, the median was $8,900, from $5,800 to $11,700. That is 6% above the $8,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $11,300 a good price for this 2018 BMW 5ER?

1847 comparable 2018 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,400, spanning $4,950 to $13,500. At $11,300 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

This BMW 5ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 5ER sell for?

The insurer put this 2018 BMW 5ER's pre-damage retail value at $25,624. It sold for $11,300 — 56% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a clean title mean for this BMW 5ER?

This 2018 BMW 5ER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

This BMW 5ER has normal wear and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
