Question 1

What do front & rear 2017 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 16 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW 5ER with front & rear damage, the median was $7,000, from $3,550 to $11,625. That is 14% below the $8,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,125 a good price for this 2017 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

988 comparable 2017 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,100, spanning $4,550 to $13,100. At $6,125 this one went 24% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW 5ER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - EAST WINDSOR. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This BMW 5ER has front & rear and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 91,143 miles high for a 2017 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 95,270 miles across 988 sales, so at 91,143 miles this one sits 4% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
