Question 1

What does a on-salvage-ontario mean for this BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW 5ER was sold on a on-salvage-ontario. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW 5ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

Is 50,987 miles high for a 2017 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 95,555 miles across 1022 sales, so at 50,987 miles this one sits 47% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2017 BMW 5ER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Where was this BMW 5ER located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - OSHAWA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WBAJE7C39HG889482?

Accepted Answer

WBAJE7C39HG889482 identifies this specific 2017 BMW 5ER in black with a 3.0l i-6 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 335hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
