What do all over 2017 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Across 14 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW 5ER with all over damage, the median was $7,200, from $3,600 to $9,200. That is 11% below the $8,075 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $12,200 a good price for this 2017 BMW 5ER?

994 comparable 2017 BMW 5ER listings sold at auction for a median of $8,075, spanning $4,550 to $13,100. At $12,200 this one went 51% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 5ER sell for?

The insurer put this 2017 BMW 5ER's pre-damage retail value at $28,159. It sold for $12,200 — 57% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 5ER?

This 2017 BMW 5ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in IA - ELDRIDGE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,000 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $650-$950, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Is 49,216 miles high for a 2017 BMW 5ER?

Comparable 2017 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 95,339 miles across 994 sales, so at 49,216 miles this one sits 48% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
