Question 1

What do front end 2016 BMW 5ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 385 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW 5ER with front end damage, the median was $4,200, from $3,150 to $6,800. That is 1% below the $4,250 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This BMW 5ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 5ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - GREENWELL SPRINGS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 97,723 miles high for a 2016 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 5ER listings at auction averaged 96,711 miles across 956 sales, so at 97,723 miles this one sits 1% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW 5ER. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 BMW 5ER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
