What do water/flood 2018 BMW 5 SERIES models sell for?

Across 41 recorded sales of the 2018 BMW 5 SERIES with water/flood damage, the median was $7,450, from $5,600 to $10,500. That is 11% below the $8,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $7,000 a good price for this 2018 BMW 5 SERIES?

1866 comparable 2018 BMW 5 SERIES listings sold at auction for a median of $8,400, spanning $4,950 to $13,500. At $7,000 this one went 17% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 5 SERIES sell for?

The insurer put this 2018 BMW 5 SERIES's pre-damage retail value at $15,636. It sold for $7,000 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

How far is this BMW 5 SERIES from an export port?

The lot sat at COPART in FL - WEST PALM BEACH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 BMW 5 SERIES. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 110,356 miles high for a 2018 BMW 5 SERIES?

Comparable 2018 BMW 5 SERIES listings at auction averaged 89,623 miles across 1866 sales, so at 110,356 miles this one sits 23% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
