Question 1

What do water/flood 2017 BMW 4ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 25 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW 4ER with water/flood damage, the median was $4,713, from $3,400 to $8,300. That is 14% below the $5,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2017 BMW 4ER?

Accepted Answer

597 comparable 2017 BMW 4ER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,500, spanning $3,500 to $9,300. At $3,050 this one went 45% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 4ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW 4ER's pre-damage retail value at $16,601. It sold for $3,050 — 82% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 4ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW 4ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this BMW 4ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - WINDSOR. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 84,397 miles high for a 2017 BMW 4ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 4ER listings at auction averaged 90,071 miles across 597 sales, so at 84,397 miles this one sits 6% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
