Question 1

What does a clear mean for this BMW 4ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW 4ER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 2

How far is this BMW 4ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - WILMINGTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

Is 123,556 miles high for a 2016 BMW 4ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 4ER listings at auction averaged 90,953 miles across 701 sales, so at 123,556 miles this one sits 36% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2016 BMW 4ER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was WHEELZY. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

Did this 2016 BMW 4ER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear & tear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WBA3T3C59G5A41673?

Accepted Answer
