Question 1

What do side 2021 BMW 3ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 165 recorded sales of the 2021 BMW 3ER with side damage, the median was $11,250, from $5,800 to $16,600. That is 5% above the $10,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,700 a good price for this 2021 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

1596 comparable 2021 BMW 3ER listings sold at auction for a median of $10,750, spanning $5,700 to $16,700. At $9,700 this one went 10% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This BMW 3ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 3ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 BMW 3ER's pre-damage retail value at $41,720. It sold for $9,700 — 77% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 BMW 3ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 44,847 miles high for a 2021 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 53,936 miles across 1596 sales, so at 44,847 miles this one sits 17% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
