Question 1

What do water/flood 2020 BMW 3ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 28 recorded sales of the 2020 BMW 3ER with water/flood damage, the median was $7,700, from $6,000 to $11,400. That is 20% below the $9,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This BMW 3ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 3ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - WINDSOR. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 BMW 3ER. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 73,364 miles high for a 2020 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 65,432 miles across 1655 sales, so at 73,364 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 3MW5R7J05L8B14778?

Accepted Answer

3MW5R7J05L8B14778 identifies this specific 2020 BMW 3ER in white with a 2.0l 4 engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
