Question 1

Was $6,700 a good price for this 2020 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

1689 comparable 2020 BMW 3ER listings sold at auction for a median of $9,500, spanning $5,100 to $15,225. At $6,700 this one went 29% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 BMW 3ER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 3ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in RI - RIVERSIDE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 190 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $225-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This BMW 3ER has suspension and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 84,475 miles high for a 2020 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 65,624 miles across 1689 sales, so at 84,475 miles this one sits 29% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 BMW 3ER. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
