Question 1

Was $3,900 a good price for this 2017 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

1270 comparable 2017 BMW 3ER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,625, spanning $3,250 to $8,000. At $3,900 this one went 16% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 3ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW 3ER's pre-damage retail value at $18,635. It sold for $3,900 — 79% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW 3ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

This BMW 3ER has burn and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW 3ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 61,149 miles high for a 2017 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 91,709 miles across 1270 sales, so at 61,149 miles this one sits 33% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
