Question 1

What do rear end 2017 BMW 3ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 116 recorded sales of the 2017 BMW 3ER with rear end damage, the median was $5,200, from $3,300 to $8,100. That is 13% above the $4,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2017 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

1272 comparable 2017 BMW 3ER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,600, spanning $3,250 to $7,900. At $3,500 this one went 24% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 3ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 BMW 3ER's pre-damage retail value at $13,545. It sold for $3,500 — 74% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 BMW 3ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 BMW 3ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 103,201 miles high for a 2017 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 91,700 miles across 1272 sales, so at 103,201 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
