Question 1

This BMW 3ER sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a non-repairable mean for this BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW 3ER was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 3

How far is this BMW 3ER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MD - BRANDYWINE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 BMW 3ER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 81,520 miles high for a 2016 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 92,605 miles across 1064 sales, so at 81,520 miles this one sits 12% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN WBA8E3G52GNU02944?

Accepted Answer

WBA8E3G52GNU02944 identifies this specific 2016 BMW 3ER in black with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 240hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
