Question 1

What do rear end 2016 BMW 3ER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 80 recorded sales of the 2016 BMW 3ER with rear end damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,300 to $7,800. That is 1% above the $4,250 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,900 a good price for this 2016 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

1048 comparable 2016 BMW 3ER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,250, spanning $3,150 to $7,500. At $4,900 this one went 15% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this BMW 3ER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 BMW 3ER's pre-damage retail value at $13,251. It sold for $4,900 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 BMW 3ER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

This BMW 3ER has rear end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 131,953 miles high for a 2016 BMW 3ER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 BMW 3ER listings at auction averaged 92,371 miles across 1048 sales, so at 131,953 miles this one sits 43% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
