Question 1

What do front end 2018 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 351 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLVO XC90 with front end damage, the median was $7,300, from $4,050 to $12,100. That is 5% below the $7,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,000 a good price for this 2018 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

901 comparable 2018 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $7,700, spanning $4,400 to $12,600. At $9,000 this one went 17% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC90 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLVO XC90's pre-damage retail value at $20,039. It sold for $9,000 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLVO XC90. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this VOLVO XC90 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TN - LEBANON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 400 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $350-$475, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 85,063 miles high for a 2018 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 103,469 miles across 901 sales, so at 85,063 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
