Question 1

What do front end 2023 VOLVO XC90 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 154 recorded sales of the 2023 VOLVO XC90 with front end damage, the median was $17,000, from $9,500 to $23,500. That is 1% below the $17,200 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,200 a good price for this 2023 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

319 comparable 2023 VOLVO XC90 listings sold at auction for a median of $17,200, spanning $8,800 to $25,550. At $12,200 this one went 29% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 VOLVO XC90 was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this VOLVO XC90 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in PA - CONSHOHOCKEN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 VOLVO XC90. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 28,918 miles high for a 2023 VOLVO XC90?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 VOLVO XC90 listings at auction averaged 36,212 miles across 319 sales, so at 28,918 miles this one sits 20% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
