Question 1

What do water/flood 2018 VOLVO XC60 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 37 recorded sales of the 2018 VOLVO XC60 with water/flood damage, the median was $8,600, from $5,500 to $10,500. That is 1% above the $8,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,800 a good price for this 2018 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

621 comparable 2018 VOLVO XC60 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,500, spanning $4,500 to $12,800. At $8,800 this one went 4% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLVO XC60 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 VOLVO XC60's pre-damage retail value at $25,014. It sold for $8,800 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this VOLVO XC60 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - NEW ORLEANS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE START PROGRAM" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE START PROGRAM is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 VOLVO XC60. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 60,965 miles high for a 2018 VOLVO XC60?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 VOLVO XC60 listings at auction averaged 85,737 miles across 621 sales, so at 60,965 miles this one sits 29% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
