Question 1

What do rear end 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 46 recorded sales of the 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with rear end damage, the median was $9,000, from $5,300 to $14,100. That is 11% above the $8,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,400 a good price for this 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

521 comparable 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $8,100, spanning $4,200 to $13,100. At $6,400 this one went 21% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This VOLKSWAGEN TAOS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS's pre-damage retail value at $24,176. It sold for $6,400 — 74% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 2,913 miles high for a 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2025 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 10,925 miles across 521 sales, so at 2,913 miles this one sits 73% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
