Question 1

What do water/flood 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with water/flood damage, the median was $6,850, from $5,200 to $8,700. That is 17% above the $5,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

1327 comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings sold at auction for a median of $5,850, spanning $3,450 to $9,200. At $8,500 this one went 45% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS's pre-damage retail value at $16,542. It sold for $8,500 — 49% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - WEST PALM BEACH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 32,472 miles high for a 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 54,883 miles across 1327 sales, so at 32,472 miles this one sits 41% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
