Question 1

What do hail 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 15 recorded sales of the 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS with hail damage, the median was $10,050, from $5,200 to $12,600. That is 54% above the $6,525 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a bc-salvage-british columbia mean for this VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS was sold on a bc-salvage-british columbia. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 1,228 miles high for a 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS listings at auction averaged 38,757 miles across 883 sales, so at 1,228 miles this one sits 97% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This VOLKSWAGEN TAOS has hail and all over damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Did this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN TAOS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with hail damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
