Question 1

What do rear end 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 31 recorded sales of the 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 with rear end damage, the median was $10,550, from $5,100 to $13,900. That is 21% above the $8,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $17,000 a good price for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

226 comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings sold at auction for a median of $8,700, spanning $4,700 to $13,000. At $17,000 this one went 95% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4's pre-damage retail value at $24,982. It sold for $17,000 — 32% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 20,550 miles high for a 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings at auction averaged 38,686 miles across 226 sales, so at 20,550 miles this one sits 47% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
