Question 1

Was $12,925 a good price for this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

838 comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings sold at auction for a median of $9,700, spanning $5,300 to $14,200. At $12,925 this one went 33% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage-nc mean for this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 was sold on a salvage-nc. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NC - CONCORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 15,323 miles high for a 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 listings at auction averaged 27,772 miles across 838 sales, so at 15,323 miles this one sits 45% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with unknown damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
