Question 1

What do rear 2018 TOYOTA AVALON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 20 recorded sales of the 2018 TOYOTA AVALON with rear damage, the median was $5,900, from $3,900 to $8,300. That is 8% above the $5,450 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,800 a good price for this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

441 comparable 2018 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $5,450, spanning $3,450 to $8,300. At $5,800 this one went 6% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this TOYOTA AVALON from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - STATEN ISLAND. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 136,053 miles high for a 2018 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 97,554 miles across 441 sales, so at 136,053 miles this one sits 39% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2018 TOYOTA AVALON come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
