Question 1

What do front end 2017 TOYOTA AVALON models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 159 recorded sales of the 2017 TOYOTA AVALON with front end damage, the median was $4,550, from $3,300 to $7,300. That is 2% below the $4,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2017 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

313 comparable 2017 TOYOTA AVALON listings sold at auction for a median of $4,625, spanning $3,350 to $7,400. At $3,050 this one went 34% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This TOYOTA AVALON sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this TOYOTA AVALON sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 TOYOTA AVALON's pre-damage retail value at $19,058. It sold for $3,050 — 84% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 TOYOTA AVALON was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 55,607 miles high for a 2017 TOYOTA AVALON?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TOYOTA AVALON listings at auction averaged 100,359 miles across 313 sales, so at 55,607 miles this one sits 45% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
