Question 1

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 TESLA MODEL S. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 2

Is 138,510 miles high for a 2017 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 TESLA MODEL S listings at auction averaged 96,179 miles across 887 sales, so at 138,510 miles this one sits 44% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2017 TESLA MODEL S?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

What can I find out from VIN 5YJSA1E2XHF186620?

Accepted Answer

5YJSA1E2XHF186620 identifies this specific 2017 TESLA MODEL S in white with a electric engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2017 TESLA MODEL S from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 TESLA MODEL S was listed at IAAI as lot 46243481 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

Did this 2017 TESLA MODEL S come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with left rear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
