Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 36 recorded sales of the 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $6,900, from $4,700 to $10,600. That is 50% above the $4,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,700 a good price for this 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

3692 comparable 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA listings sold at auction for a median of $4,600, spanning $3,300 to $7,100. At $9,700 this one went 111% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This NISSAN ALTIMA sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this NISSAN ALTIMA sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA's pre-damage retail value at $21,524. It sold for $9,700 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 8,056 miles high for a 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 NISSAN ALTIMA listings at auction averaged 62,837 miles across 3692 sales, so at 8,056 miles this one sits 87% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
