Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 18 recorded sales of the 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,300, from $3,300 to $5,900. That is 13% above the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,950 a good price for this 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

236 comparable 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT listings sold at auction for a median of $3,800, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $4,950 this one went 30% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT's pre-damage retail value at $12,089. It sold for $4,950 — 59% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 100,496 miles high for a 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT listings at auction averaged 91,491 miles across 236 sales, so at 100,496 miles this one sits 10% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - EAST GRANBY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
